Parent Community Network, PCN, has been sponsoring Parent University, a half-day educational event since 1998. The agenda is always filled with great speakers discussing current issues facing today’s youth from pre-school through high school, along with issues facing parents and what can be done. Typically, about 150- 200 parents and educators gather to learn, share, and connect on key issues. The PCN committee works hard to secure a keynote speaker and about 20 other speakers who address attendees on current hot topics. The feedback received has always been positive. In addition to the keynote speaker and 3 breakout sessions, there are opportunities to network and connect in the community resource room and during breaks.

The next Parent University will be February 2nd, 2013 at Lyons Township High School South Campus at 4900 S. Willow Springs Rd., Western Springs, IL 60558.
