Parent Community Network, PCN, has been sponsoring Parent University, a half-day educational event since 1998. The agenda is always filled with great speakers discussing current issues facing today’s youth from pre-school through high school, along with issues facing parents and what can be done. Typically, about 150- 200 parents and educators gather to learn, share, and connect on key issues. The PCN committee works hard to secure a keynote speaker and between 12-20 other speakers who address attendees on current hot topics. The feedback from the event is always very positive, with over half of the attendees stating their intention to return the following year. In addition to the keynote speaker and 2 breakout sessions, there are opportunities to network and connect in the community resource room and during breaks.
